Arsenal bounced back in dramatic fashion to keep their title charge on track but face another challenge in the form of Leicester this weekend.
Mikel Arteta’s men stumbled against rivals Manchester City but put that defeat behind them to beat Aston Villa thanks to two late goals in stoppage time. City’s draw at Nottingham Forest saw Arsenal open up a two-point gap again, along with their game in hand, as they look to capitalise further in the title race.
Leicester had been enjoying somewhat of a revival from their dismal early season form, though the Foxes were comfortably beaten 3-0 at Old Trafford by title outsiders Manchester United last time out, keeping them four points above the drop zone.
After bagging two goals in the previous fixture, Jesus will sadly have to sit this one out for Arsenal as he remains sidelined through injury, while Mohamed Elneny is also absent after undergoing recent surgery on his knee.
Thomas Partey could be available again for selection but will likely undergo a late fitness test to determine whether he will be involved.
Leicester are hopeful star man Maddison can return to fitness in time, while Jonny Evans looks set to be ruled out, along with long-term absentees James Justin and Ryan Bertrand.
